Be the true you
- 10+ years of experience as Chief lead architect or head of an IT department in a mid-size to large business
- Proven track record in shaping and delivering large-scale Engineering, Cloud, AI and Data transformation programmes end-to-end
- Acts as a trusted advisor to C-level and C-1 stakeholders, bridging business strategy and technology execution
- Extensive experience advising senior executives and acting as a strategic partner
- Deep passion for technology, combining broad knowledge with strong depth in key domains
- Able to simplify complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights
- In-depth experience with modern technology stacks such as:
- cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP; cloud-native architectures such as microservices, serverless and Kubernetes
- data and AI platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, real-time data streaming and MLOps
- generative AI and advanced analytics: LLMs, prompt engineering, AI orchestration and responsible AI
- integration and APIs: event-driven architecture and API management
- DevOps and platform engineering: CI/CD, infrastructure as a code and observability
- Agentic Engineering
- Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, shape value propositions and build long-term client relationships
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, inspiring teams and aligning diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments across business and IT
- Self-starter with the ability to build a business
What impact will you make?
As a Director within our Engineering, AI & Data practice, you will shape our strategy, driving business development, and delivering complex transformation programmes.You own client relationships at C‑suite level, translate sector challenges into pragmatic roadmaps, and take responsibility for P&L, proposals and successful programme delivery. You build and mentor multidisciplinary teams, forge partnerships with technology and ecosystem providers, and ensure solutions meet governance, privacy and ethical standards. Externally you represent the practice through thought leadership and industry engagement, turning insight into measurable business outcomes that reshape customer experience, operations and monetisation.

How do you do this?
- Lead strategic and commercial growth of Engineering and Data offerings within the Consumer, Retail and Travel/services/hospitality industry
- Build and maintain strong CIO and Chief Architect relationships
- Identify and shape opportunities, define proposals, and convert them into impactful engagements
- Co-create technical architecture and guide development teams in implementation
- Deliver transformation programmes focused on enterprise data platforms, AI, cloud, and emerging technologies
- Guide clients in developing Engineering blueprints and roadmaps
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from early visioning to implementation and adoption
- Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership in the technology domain
- Inspire, coach and develop multidisciplinary engineering and development teams
